Who We Are
Happy Bar's mission is to feed children in under-privileged societies to give them an equitable chance at life. Your gifts to help feed an undernourished child will make a huge and positive difference. Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of your donation goes to the production of Happy Bars. Each Happy Bar costs US 25 cents and delivers 5g of protein per serving plus other nutrition. Happy Bar Nutrition Inc. is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation.
Our Story
The Happy Bar program arose from the collective experiences of Dr. Jack Kennedy, Ph.D. Agriculture, working with nutrition programs for Embrace a Village leprosy services and Dr. Alice (Clare) Augustine, Ph.D. Biology, working with various orphanages and charitable programs. Seeing that protein deficiency is rampant in children living in poverty, they tried several approaches to supplement protein before developing a simple recipe that children love, and parents approved.
100% of funds raised goes to the production of Happy Bars
Our Policy
Our company policy is to donate 100% of funds raised to produce and provide healthy, nutritional snacks to the undernourished. Private donors cover the operating expenses of the company.
Our Goal
Since 2014, we’ve donated over 1.7 million bars to undernourished children and elderly in poverty across India.
Our goal for 2024 is to donate 500,000 bars.
