ABOUT BOING

BOING is the mascot of purpose and focus. BOING is the ostrich that kept its eyes on the egg, guarded and nurtured it till it hatched without being distracted. BOING is telling us that good things come from keeping your eyes on a higher power, a job at hand or staying focused.

OUR STORY

The Happy Bar program arose from the collective experiences of Dr. Jack Kennedy, Ph.D. Agriculture, working with nutrition programs for Embrace a Village leprosy services and Dr. Alice (Clare) Augustine, Ph.D. Biology, working with various orphanages and charitable programs. Seeing that protein deficiency is rampant in children living in poverty, they tried several approaches to supplement protein before developing a simple recipe that children love, and parents approved.
