Anyways!!! BOING sprang from long conversations had between Clare and an older couple from India. After meeting the Bangalorean couple at church, Clare would cook for them once a week. Meals rife with conversation, the dear old man always told Clare to keep her eyes focused on her egg, much like an ostrich would, without letting disappointment, circumstance, or life’s uncertainty distract her.
This analogy of the egg representing God is a powerful one.
It highlights the importance of staying focused on what truly matters in life, even when faced with adversity.
Ostrich eggs are known for their strength and durability, and by keeping their focus on the egg, ostriches can protect and nurture it until it hatches.
Similarly, by keeping our focus on God, we can weather the storms of life and come out stronger on the other side.However, this is easier said than done.
Life can be full of distractions and disappointments that can pull us away from our focus. It can be easy to get caught up in our own problems and worries and lose sight of what truly matters. This is where BOING comes in.
BOING is a reminder to stay focused and persevere through the challenges that life throws our way. The character serves as a symbol of hope and determination, encouraging readers to keep their eyes on the egg, and not to give up.
The mission of Boing and Happy Bar Nutrition is to provide children with the nourishment they need to stay focused and improve their quality of life. Many of these children walk miles to go to school, but due to malnutrition, they struggle to stay focused and perform well in class. The Happy Bars serve as an approach to this problem, providing them with the energy and nutrition they need to succeed.
Boing serves as the perfect mascot for Happy Bar Nutrition and their mission.
The ostrich represents focus and perseverance, reminding the children that even when the going gets tough, they can still push through and succeed. The slogan for the children served by Happy Bar Nutrition is "When the going gets tough, the tough get BOING." This slogan serves as an inspiration and encouragement to these children to stay focused, work hard, and never give up.
